Decide people and rooms

Link each person to a member, invite them, keep their name only or leave them out. Create each room fresh, merge it into one you have, or skip it.

Import in the background

Start it when you are ready. It runs in the background, can be paused, and duplicates are skipped when you merge.

Undo if you need to

Undo removes only what the import created. Anything your team has posted since stays where it is.

Which apps can we import from?

Is anything written before we confirm?

No. SphereOne reads your export and shows you the rooms, people and message counts first. Nothing is written until an admin confirms.

Can we merge history into channels we already use?

Yes. For each room you choose to create it, merge it into one you already have, or leave it out. When you merge, messages already there are recognised and skipped.

Can we undo an import?

Undo it. Undo removes only what the import created, and anything your team has posted since stays where it is.
